Appreciate Risk

A waterfall is a beautiful danger. Safe measures will reduce its risk, yet allow one to appreciate its grandeur.  Appreciate risk, don't fear it!

A Risk Management Program saves a company time and money!  Every company, no matter the industry, is susceptible to risk. The companies that identify and address their risk are usually the successful ones. The Risk Management concept is based on a proactive approach and is therefore, focused on preventing a liability loss.  A liability loss is basically a loss of revenue (a cost) due to an operation mishap or misadventure. This loss can take the shape of many different forms. For instance:

  • loss or theft of inventory;
  • loss of staffing due to injuries;
  • unsubstantiated actions (lack of documentation);
  • patient reaction due to administration of wrong prescription;
  • surgical procedure performed on wrong leg;
  • sexual harassment claim not addressed and goes to litigation;
  • the list is infinite.

Remember, a Risk Management program not only deals with how to prevent loss, but also how to address a loss when it happens and to learn from the overall experience!

Project Management

Together, as a Team, we can accomplish anything!

Most any objective can be achieved, no matter how difficult it appears.  It is the manner, by which the objective is addressed and analyzed, that determines the "game plan" for its completion.  The "game plan" is nothing more than planning.

Planning: qualifies and quantifies the roles, responsibilities and expectations of who, what, when, where, how and why.  Once the "game plan" has been established, implement the plan.  Monitor and evaluate the plan results or outcomes.  Are the plan outcomes meeting the project objectives?  If yes, good job! If no, re-evaluate the "game plan" and identify the processes, programs, or personnel that are perceived as areas requiring further development or modification. Continue to monitor plan outcomes and make adjustments. Achieve the objective!

Project Management requires:
